Disclaimer and referral disclosure for this site

Plain English, no fine print games.

This is a referral website

Hornsby Roofers is a referral website. It is not itself a licensed building contractor and it does not directly employ the tradespeople who carry out roofing work.

When you call (02) 9000 1127 or send the quote form, your enquiry is passed to established, licensed and insured local roofing contractors who carry out the inspection, provide the quote and do the work. Any contract for roofing work is between you and the contractor who quotes it.

What we do and do not state about licensing

We state that work is carried out by established, licensed and insured roofing contractors working to NSW Fair Trading requirements. We do not publish a licence number on this site, because we will not print a credential we cannot evidence on the page.

You are entitled to ask the contractor who attends for their licence details before work begins, and you should. In New South Wales, residential building work above the relevant value threshold must be carried out by an appropriately licensed contractor, and licence details can be checked through NSW Fair Trading.

Reviews, ratings and claims

There are no customer reviews, star ratings, testimonials or review counts anywhere on this website, because there is no verified set of them to publish. Nothing of that kind has been invented to fill the space.

Likewise, this site does not claim a founding year, a number of years in business, awards, staff numbers or accreditations. If a claim is not made here, it is because it could not be substantiated at the time of writing.

Quotes, prices and timeframes

No prices appear on this website. Roofing cost depends on roof size, pitch, material, access, and how far any damage has spread, and an honest figure requires someone to look at the roof.

Inspections and written quotes are provided free and without obligation. Any price, inclusion, duration or warranty term becomes binding only when it appears in the written quote you receive, not from anything described in general terms on these pages.

Your details

Information you submit through the quote form is used to respond to your enquiry and to arrange a quote for the work you have described. It is not sold, and it is not added to a marketing list.

Information on this site

General information about roofing materials, local conditions, council controls and building standards is provided in good faith and is current to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing. Planning rules, bushfire mapping and Australian Standards change. Nothing here is a substitute for site-specific advice, a council enquiry or a qualified assessment of your own property.

Questions about any of this: call (02) 9000 1127, or use the contact page.
